Hi,
I tried compiling the Matrix Multiplication Example code of the CUDA Fortran Programming Guide and Reference Release 2012, with the PGI compilers 13.4. Unluckily, the compilation aborted with this error message:

pgf902.exe terminated

What is a suitable action for solving this kind of problem?
Simo

Hi Simo,

Are there any more messages besides this one?

Thanks,
Mat

Hi Mat

there's no other message. The full message sounds like the following (I try to translate):

Windows: some kind of problem does not allow pgf902.exe working correctly. If a solution is available , the program will be terminated and a notification will be send.

It seems something related to the operating system (Windows 7 professional 64 bit). Such a problem occurs only whenever we try to compile code with pgfortran option "-Mcuda" or source code with extension .cuf

Does this occur even if the code doesn't contain any CUDA Fortran code?

How are you running the compile? From a shell or PVF?

Can you add "-v" (verbose) to your compile and post the output?

Thanks,
Mat

Dear Math

this error occurs when the code contains a CUDA Fortran instruction only, if there's no CUDA instruction compiler works well also using -Mcuda option.
We are running compiler from a DOS shell. As for your request, you'll find also an image of the output using -v option.

Thanking in advance

Simo
