As I can see, we have to use accelmath.h for functions specified in PGI C intrinsics: http://developer.download.nvidia.com/GTC/PDF/GTC2012/PresentationPDF/S0517C-Monday-Programming-GPUs-OpenACC.pdf
Could you please explain, why in details?

The header file is necessary in order to get the correct specification for the NVIDIA math intrinsics as opposed to the system's math library.
