When I look in my PGI Profiler window after runing pgcollect ./my_program, I get a lot of functions with names preceded by underscores _linent2 or _write_nocanccel and one even named system time. what is happening here? I only want my functions so I may click on them
and see the source.
Again, what is going on?

These are calls to the PGI run time libraries and to the system libraries so you can see the source code.
