Hello,
I am trying to install PGI accelerator on Windows. I get a License Manager Problem: Failed to checkout a license.
When I check the license server logs I see the following:
18:58:30 (lmgrd) "user-PC": Not a valid server hostname, exiting.
18:58:30 (lmgrd) Valid license server system hosts are: "ANY"
18:58:30 (lmgrd) Using license file "C:\Program Files\PGI\license.dat"
The license .dat file does say ANY ANY for the Server. This is the license I get when I download it through my account on the pgrgroup.com site.
Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. |

Daniel,
Sorry for the confusion. Trial licenses and temp licenses do not use the license
service, and often confuse it. You correctly stored the file, as Administrator, as
C:\Program Files\PGI\license.dat. Now go to
Control Panel->Admin Tools-> Services and make sure
the PGI service is STOPPED.
If you have a permanent license you store the same, and go to
Control Panel->Admin Tools-> Services and START the PGI service
if not running. If STARTed already, STOP and START it so the
new license file is read by the license software.
regards,
dave |
