I recently got the free license for Visual Fortran as a student (not a demo, but a free license until August). Everything worked fine and I was very happy with it for a few weeks, but starting Monday, I began receiving the following error (also attached as an image)
| Quote: | LICENSE MANAGER PROBLEM: The desired vendor daemon is down. Check the Imgrd log file, or try Imreread.
...
For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing documentation, available at "www.flexerasoftware.com". |
Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?[/quote] |

Hi cesuer,
Open "Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services" and look for the "PGI License Server". Is it down? Try restarting it. Any errors?

| It seems like both the PGI and the FLEXnet Services were down, upon starting them the problem seems to have gone away. Thank you for your help! |
