which environment was initialized with:

export PGI=/opt/pgi

export LM_LICENSE_FILE=$PGI/license.dat:$LM_LICENSE_FILE
export MANPATH=$MANPATH:$PGI/linux86/11.4/man


after put license.dat in /opt/pgi with:

SERVER cristiano-VirtualBox 0800271b47cc
PACKAGE........

FYI, Cristiano contacted PGI Customer Service directly (trs@pgroup.com) and they were able to help him resolve the problem.
