While trying to compile mpi for osx I bumped into the error message that I shall use pgcpp instead of pgCC because that resolves to pgcc on OSX. Seems there is no cpp compiler in FreePGI. Is there an intention to fix that ?

Hi Maxstaufer,

Correct, the C++ compiler is not included with the Free OSX product.

Thats understood, :)
is there an intention to change that ?
It makes no sense to give people a crippled product for non-commercial purposes. Especially not if the target group is academia. That will only have the opposite effect. e.g. Intel gives a non-commercial license for linux, and guess what compiler is the standard compiler (paid for) on the linux clusters of this world ?
