Hi Mat,
I am eagerly awaiting the release of v14 of the PGI compilers. This version will have a fully featured debugger for OpenACC where one can step line by line through the kernel code, right? Is it possible to get a beta version of this compiler?

Best regards
Anirban

Hi Anirban

Initial version of PGI 2014 will include support for on device debugging, but only for CUDA Fortran. OpenACC support will follow later.

We will demo this support at SC13 next week but wont release 14.1 until January 2014.

Thanks Mat. Hope the Supercomputing conference is going well.

I am working on the MFIX code which is written in FORTRAN. So I should be able to avail of the new debugging features immediately. I was wondering if I can get the pre-release copy of the upcoming version.

Thanks much

No, sorry. There are no current plans to release a beta or preview release of PGI 2014. Though, if that changes, I'll let you know.

Thanks much Mat, for the note. Well, I guess 2014 is not that far anyway. Until then, I'll stick to old-fashioned incremental commenting :-D
