Dear PGI expert,

I am considering using your fortran compiler with accelerator. But I am not sure what's the difference between your fortran acc workstation and PVF acc. Does the workstation package contain more stuff than PVF?

btw, my computer already has MS VS 2012 installed.

Thank you!

Hi Grace,

The Fortran compilers are the same between the two products, the difference is that the Workstation provides a command line interface while PVF is integrated into Visual Studio. Also in PVF, the debugger is integrated into the VS as well, while it's a stand-alone program (pgdbg) in the Workstation.

Note that purchase of the Workstation also includes a license for PVF.

Hope this helps,
Mat
